The Egyptian authorities decided to suddenly close Rafah crossing in both directions. Iyad Al-Bazm, spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, stated that they were informed by the Egyptian authorities of the closure of the Rafah crossing without further details.

According to two Egyptian security sources, the crossing was closed for security reasons due to the escalation that took place on Saturday between the occupation and the Palestinian resistance.
