The Lebanese Al-Akhbar newspaper reported from a source in the Palestinian resistance that Hamas informed the Egyptians of the continuation of popular events until the occupation stops its punitive measures against the Gaza Strip.

The newspaper added that the factions informed the mediators of the individualistic nature of the shooting of the soldier, and that it was unplanned for. It was in response to the sniping of defenseless Palestinians participating in the commemorational ceremony of the burning of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa.

The factions stressed that they would not give the occupation more time, urging for the entry of the Qatari grant this week and construction materials.

Al-Akhbar newspaper said that the occupation does not want a new escalation in the Gaza Strip because of the recent rule of engagement imposed by Al-Quds Sword battle and PM Naftali Bennett's expected visit to Washington.
