The Israeli occupation deported Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, the Grand Mufti of Al-Quds, from Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa for a week.
The occupation forces broke into Sheikh Ekrima’s house in Sawana district, and summoned him to the intelligence section of the Maskubiyah detention center to investigate him.
Sheikh Sabri said that the investigation lasted 5 hours and focused on Al-Aqsa, and that his presence in the mosque created tension and "undermined security."
The Sheikh refused to sign the resolution as being contrary to freedom of worship.
His summons follow his statements warning of the danger of allowing Jews to perform silent Talmudic rituals at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
