Khalid Zabarjah, the attorney of Sheikh Raed Salah, said that the Supreme Occupation Court, which is supposed to be the highest judicial body, had rejected an appeal against Sheikh Salah's continued isolation.
That refusal allowed the Occupation Prison Service to continue its policy of psychological torture, and humiliation against Sheikh Salah, which posed a real danger to his safety and health.
On 22 September, Sheikh Salah was transferred to the clinic of the Rimon prison after a deterioration in his health and feeling pain in his head.
The Freedoms Committee of the High Follow-up Committee for Arab Citizens in the occupied Palestinian territories held 'Israel' responsible for his safety.
Sheikh Salah served various sentences in Israeli prisons; the first in 1981, the second in 2003, the third in 2010. He was also arrested a year later in Britain, rearrested in 2016, and since 2017 has been pursued.
