He noted that the reconciliation has its known paths that do not cross the preceding conditions, such as Abbas’ condition to sign a paper of commitment to international legitimacy and preceding signed agreements. He also confirmed the importance of signing a strategic, political program that matches between resistance and the political actions to comply everyone to deal with and maintain the Palestinian issue. Moreover, he pointed out the reason behind the non-acheivement of the reconciliation so far, which lies in the Palestinian Authority’s position on the reconciliation, non-cooperation, and its efforts not to achieve the elections.

Haniyeh also stated that Hamas’ priority is to maintain and save the Palestinian issue and not give up on any of the rights of the Palestinian people. The second priority is to greaten the power of resistance in Gaza and West Bank, and the third is to end the division and achieve the Palestinian reconciliation. Also, the fourth is to build political coalitions with the Arab and Islamic world, and the fifth is to extend the bridges of relations with the international society.
