Administrative Prisoners' Committee Boycotts Occupation Courts

Jan 01, 2022 01:57 pm

In a press release, the Committee of Administrative Prisoners in Israeli Occupation Prisons announced the launch of a comprehensive boycott of Israeli occupation courts for administrative detention as of today, after having coordinated with all the regulatory bodies of the National and Islamic Action factions.

"The move is committing and public," it said, calling on legal institutions and lawyers to support them in their decision to stop the occupation from using administrative detention against the Palestinian people, stressing that in the coming months they would proceed to prepare for an open mass hunger strike if the occupation did not respond to their demands.

The occupation authorities arrest hundreds of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza Strip without charges or legal proceedings for up to six months, which are renewable.
