The Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation, Yair Labid, stated to journalists that he would not negotiate with the Palestinians when he became head of the occupation Government on a rotating basis.
The Government was formed by a clear statement that there would be no political negotiations and that no step would be taken for possible future political negotiations.
Although Lapid continued to support the establishment of a Palestinian State, he ruled out meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas because there was no political reason to do so.
