Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, the Mufti of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, said that the occupation refused to appoint new guards for Al-Masjid by the Islamic Waqf Service in occupied Al-Quds and threatened to arrest them, only if they were appointed through the occupation, in order to impose its sovereignty over Al-Aqsa and end the role of Al-Waqf
