The former official in the Israeli occupation army Itzhak Brik said that his army failed to eliminate Hamas’ tunnels during the recent Israeli aggression in May 2021.

The occupation army promoted that on the 14th of May, its forces will carry out a ground operation in Gaza so the Hamas bodies head to tunnels to confront the incursion; therefore, the army targets the tunnels with airstrikes and causes Hamas thousands of human losses. 

Hamas knew those were tricky rumors. Thus, it did not send its fighters to the tunnels and the occupation army could not carry out its prepared plan. It did not send its forces to Gaza, fearing Hamas; instead, it sent airstrikes and destroyed a few tunnels.
