The Israeli occupation has continued to stall the supply of electricity to a number of towns in the occupied Palestinian Negev for the eighth day since the recent events in the Negev. This has caused great suffering to their people, especially in the freezing atmosphere.
The educational consultant, Ayat Hasan, said that the occupying power company had argued that there was electrical contact, which caused bad weather, had cut off electricity to a large number of neighbourhoods and towns instead of solving the problem, and had left people without electricity under very poor weather conditions, as well as disrupting the educational process of pupils who relied on digital appliances for their education.
She added that what was happening was retaliation against the Negev after their recent donation to defend their land from the attempted occupation.
