In a tweet, the head of the Palestinian Authority Civil Affairs Authority, Hussein Elsheikh, said that the Israeli occupation had refused an official request he made to visit the prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid.

Al-Sheikh held the occupation responsible for the life of the prisoner Abu Hamid, demanding that official and civil international institutions press the occupation to release Abu Hamid for treatment.

The prisoner Abu Hamid, 49, who has had cancer, has faced a very critical health situation in an Israeli hospital since 4 January, and has been detained since 2002 and sentenced to life imprisonment.
