Muhammed Nadir Al-Nuri Kamarzuman, the CEO of Cinta Gaza Malaysia, signed a memorandum of understanding with Al-Azhar University to support a group of development projects it proposed with a fund of about $250.000 two days after a field tour Kamarzuman had implemented in the University.
The MOU was signed in the presence of the CEO of Cinta Gaza Malaysia, Dr. Omar Milad; the chief of Al-Azhar University, and the administrators of the beneficiary collages from those projects inside the University's administrative headquarters.
Dr. Milad asked Kamarzuman to fund 5 projects benefiting several faculties of Al-Azhar University. First, a project to equip a dental clinic for children and persons with disabilities in the Faculty of Dentistry. Second, a project to equip an anatomy laboratory in the Faculty of Medicine. Third, a project to establish a desalination facility in favor of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. Fourth, a project to establish a physical therapy clinic in the Faculty of Applied Sciences. Finally, a project to release the university degrees for the graduates affected by the Israeli aggression on Gaza in May, 2021.
The proposed projects aim to empower the educational environment of the university students, reduce the gap between the theoretical and practical sides of education, and provide free medical services for the citizens.
Kamarzuman said that it is the first time to see such a university that seeks to play a servicing role through merging between theoretical and practical teaching methods to serve the students and citizens for free. It is an experience that deserves to be transferred to the Malaysian universities to upgrade their work, inspiring him to implement such an idea in his home country.
In return, Dr. Milad thanked Cinta Gaza Malaysia for its rapid response and ongoing support for implementing precious projects in Gaza. He also appreciated the Malaysian efforts to support the Palestinians and create a strong educational environment that can produce highly qualified graduates.
