Amidar, a subsidiary of the Israeli occupation government, issued immediate evacuation orders to 8 Palestinian families in the occupied Jaffa.

The eviction orders come after Amidar made deals to auction 3 properties in Jaffa. The member of the People's Committee of Jaffa Omar Saksak said that the people in Jaffa hold on to their homes and lands, and they will resist the occupation to prevent it from taking over.

The residents demanded radical solutions to the housing crisis, which the occupation was using to displace them from their homes, in which they had lived for 70 years, under the heading "protected tenants."

After the Nakba, Amidar's settlement company seized a large number of absentee homes in Jaffa and leased them to other Palestinians as protected tenants.
