The so-called General Authority of the Israeli Occupation Knesset has ratified the draft law to prevent the reunification of Palestinian families, after 8 months of failure to pass it again after the expiration of its previous validity.
According to the Israeli website WeNet, 45 members of the Knesset voted in favour of the law, while 15 opposed it. It was promoted by Occupation Minister Elit Shakid of a right-wing party and government coalition, and a member of the Knesset Samha Rotman from the opposition party, allowing opposition to the religious zionism party to vote for it.
The law aims to prevent the reunification of Palestinians from the West Bank and Al-Quds, and the ones carrying the Israeli citizenship from the Palestinians of the occupied Palestinian interior in 1948, except after long suffering and under security conditions.
