The United States Congress approved $259 million in assistance to the Palestinians, of which $40 million was assistance to security forces and law enforcement agencies.

The official website of the United States Senate Appropriations Committee said that $219 million worth of assistance to the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip through ESF.
