The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) submitted its annual report on the situation of human rights and settlement in occupied Palestine to the Human Rights Council in Geneva.

In its report, Bashleh said that the occupying forces continue to use excessive force against Palestinian civilians, adding that the number of Palestinians martyred by the occupying forces had increased

The report addressed violations of international humanitarian law during the Israeli aggression against Gaza, the policy of collective punishment, arbitrary detention, ill-treatment and restrictions on freedom of movement.

About settler violence, Bachelet said that settlers were engaging in systematic and increasing violence with the consent and protection of the occupying forces.
