It has been agreed to identify women with disabilities as a model of Palestinian women, ten of whom will be selected to document their autobiographies and achievements within the project of 'Documentation of Palestinian women's achievements.'
The project, funded by Cinta Gaza Malaysia and supervised by PALM Strategic Initiatives Centre, is currently being implemented by the Ministry of Women's Affairs. However, the documentation varies in terms of achievements and the nature of work so it includes different models representing this truly creative group.
This came in a special workshop on the sidelines of the training that the Ministry is holding for a number of trainees in the presence of Amira Haroun; the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Women's Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Zaim; director of PALM, and Dr Nihad Al-Sheikh Khalil; the project's coach, and A. Aliaa Eid; the project's supervisor.
The participants emphasized the importance of documenting the achievements of this group of Palestinian women because of their role, the difficulties they face in an already difficult environment , and the lack of interest and documentation for their achievements in general.
