Speaking to The New Arab, a leading Islamic Jihad source confirmed that there are understandings between Hamas and Jihad movements to respond from Gaza to any Israeli aggression against the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds "in case it crossed the red lines."
The leading source denied what the Israeli Broadcasting Service's Palestinian affairs correspondent "Kan 11", Gal Berger, said that Hamas prevented his movement from responding to the murder of three of its militants near Jenin at dawn last Saturday.
The newspaper quoted Palestinian sources that are privy to the contacts of mediators with the Palestinian factions, reported that the occupation had sent messages to the resistance in Gaza asking for "calm in exchange for striking facilities and inducements," which contradicted public threats of occupation.
