The Occupation Court in Beersheba, in the occupied Palestinian Negev, will hold a special appeal to request the immediate release of detainee Ahmed Manasra, 19, from occupied Al-Quds, where he was arrested as a 13-year-old child and sentenced to 9 and a half years.
The court session takes place in conjunction with the launch of a support campaign to demand his immediate release, #FreeAhmadManasra, #Freedom_for Ahmad_Manasra, which has seen extensive and significant interaction in the past hours.
The lawyer Khaled Zabarqa, representing the prisoner Manasra, said that he had filed a request to allow the file of the detained prisoner since 2015 to be presented to the early release committee in the Israeli occupation prisons.
The occupation court condemned Ahmed in 2016 of carrying out an operation in the settlement of "Basgat Ze 'ev" in 2015. Ahmed Manasra suffered several injuries to his body following the shooting of him and his cousin Hassan, who was martyred at the region and was physically and psychologically tortured, and is currently in solitary confinement
