Khaled Mashal, Hamas Chief abroad, said that Gaza did not want to escalate but had its responsibilities and must de-escalate in Al-Quds.
This was in response to the Qatari Foreign Minister's contact with the head of the movement's political office, Ismail Haniyeh, to convey the message that the occupation did not want to escalate.
Mashal added, during a seminar entitled "Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa and its place in the nation", that "Haniyeh" had told the Qatari Foreign Minister that it was forbidden to animals sacrifice in Al-Aqsa, it was forbidden to break into the Jenin camp and Al-Aqsa detainees should be released.
In a related context, the Palestinian resistance fired rounds of rockets towards the Gaza Sea, coinciding with the trigger events in Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa and the occupied West Bank since the beginning of Ramadan.
