The occupation completed the installation of the elevator structure at Al-Masjid Al-Ibrahimi in Hebron in the occupied West Bank, in preparation for the installation of an electric elevator for settlers to facilitate their entry into the mosque.

Ghassan al-Rajabi,the director of the Al-Ibrahimi mosque, said that  after the end of evening prayers and the departure of worshippers from the mosque, the occupation forces and large numbers of settlers introduced heavy equipment and trucks loaded with parts of the seminal elevator to facilitate settlers' intrusions into it, as part of a settlement scheme to judaize and control it for its settlement projects.

Last Monday, the occupation cut the mosque's staircase to change its features, and the Directorate of Hebron Awqf explained that these works are a complement to excavations that began several months ago in the mosque's outer squares to install the elevator. The Directorate noted that excavations continue despite the inclusion of the Brahimi mosque on the UNESCO World Heritage List, which is a serious violation of all international laws and UN resolutions.
