The members of the Israeli Knesset ratified the Knesset dissolution bill with initial reading in steps towards new elections. 

53 of the knesset members voted for the bill. There were no objections nor abstention from voting. 

Kan channel reported that it is expected that the Knesset Committee will meet to prepare the bill for the secon and third reading. It also mentioned that the discussions between the coalition and the objection regarding the final date for the elections are ongoing. It is supposed to be held in October or November.
