Hundreds of Palestinians responded to the calls of ribat in Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa under the title “We protect you with our hearts”, in an attmpt to defend it amid the occupation’s plans against it. 

Hundreds of Palestinians from Al-Quds, West Bank, and the 1948 Occupied Lands performed Al-Fajr prayers in Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, and calls continue to urge people to perform Etikaf in Al-Masjid by the beginning of the 10 days of Dhul Hijja.

Etikaf is no longer connected to the holy month of Ramadan, especially amid the ongoing attacks on Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa by the Israeli occupation and colonial settlers.
