The leader of the opposition party "Democrats" in Israel, Yair Golan, has called for escalating protests against Benjamin Netanyahu's government by disrupting the economy and public services to force early elections.

Golan, a former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, stated that "protests alone are no longer enough; we must shift to active resistance." He added, "This government continues to destroy the country, and the only way to change it is through intense public pressure." He emphasized the need to use the right to strike and protest to paralyze economic and public services, compelling the government to back down and agree to hold new elections.

Israel has witnessed escalating protests against Netanyahu's government, especially after the dismissal of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and the vote of no confidence against Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara.
