Juliette Touma, the Director of Communications at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), stated that the Gaza Strip has been deprived of food, water, and medicine since the beginning of March due to the closure of border crossings and the tightening of the blockade.
Touma noted that this is "the longest period of disruption since the start of the Israeli war," adding that "every day without supplies means that children go to sleep hungry."
The Israeli occupation army has intensified its genocidal crimes with heavy airstrikes targeting civilians, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and injured individuals, 70% of whom are children, women, and the elderly, according to a statement by the Government Media Office.
