The Gaza Municipality announced that the Israeli water line "Mekorot" is unable to meet the needs of all neighborhoods in the city, amid the ongoing Israeli aggression and the destruction of the central desalination plant, several wells, and water reservoirs.
The municipality stated that large areas in the northern and southwestern parts of the city are suffering from severe water shortages, noting that the greatest deficit is concentrated in western neighborhoods due to the massive damage inflicted on infrastructure during the continued assault.
According to data from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and the Water Authority, more than 85% of water and sanitation facilities in the Gaza Strip have been either fully or partially disabled due to Israeli attacks, significantly worsening the crisis.
