The extremist Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, 183 settlers and 23 Jewish students, led by the extremist Ben Gvir, stormed the mosque in groups through the Moroccan Gate and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards. Meanwhile, around 100 Israeli police officers were deployed to secure the incursion by Ben Gvir and other members of his party.
The occupation police imposed strict restrictions on Palestinian worshippers accessing Al-Aqsa, detaining some of their IDs at the outer gates.
