The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) stated that the health sector in Gaza is facing a critical situation due to the ongoing Israeli war of extermination.
In a press statement, UNRWA reported that 45% of essential medical supplies have been depleted, with nearly a quarter of the remaining stock expected to run out within six weeks.
The agency warned that supplies of vital medicines and blood products are on the verge of running out, while urgent needs are growing day by day.
The war of extermination has resulted in more than 184,000 martyrs and wounded — the majority of them women and children — over 11,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals, a famine that has claimed many lives including children, and widespread destruction.
