The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor stated that Israel is doing everything in its power to obstruct the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Monitor, "just hours after a local initiative successfully secured the arrival of aid trucks to the warehouses of some relief organizations in Gaza City, Israel decided to halt the entry of aid into the northern part of the Strip."

It added that Israel provides no objective evidence to support its claims that factions are stealing the aid, using such allegations as a pretext to divert attention from its deliberate use of starvation as a weapon of war.

The Monitor also highlighted that more than half of Gaza's population is currently facing catastrophic levels of hunger, and in May alone, over 5,000 children were hospitalized due to severe malnutrition.
