Franziska Brantner, leader of Germany’s Green Party, has called for a ban on exporting weapons to Israel that could be used in the Gaza Strip.

Brantner stated, “No more German weapons should be delivered if they can be used in Gaza, as there is a risk this could constitute a violation of international law.”

She pointed out that “more than 400 people have been killed while trying to obtain food for themselves and their families in the Gaza Strip.”

She added, “There are serious allegations that soldiers were ordered to open fire on unarmed individuals near distribution points, even though there was no threat present.”
