Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived in the United States in preparation for a meeting with President Donald Trump.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, unnamed U.S. sources said that the American administration seeks a clear declaration committing both sides — Israel and Hamas — to a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
The sources noted that “it may take a few days after the announcement to finalize the details, but the goal is to create a firm commitment to the process.”
Netanyahu is expected to hold preparatory meetings today with U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, before meeting with President Trump.
