The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" stated that remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—telling the families of captives that a comprehensive deal is not possible—reflect his bad intentions and efforts to obstruct reaching an agreement that would lead to a prisoner exchange and an end to the aggression on Gaza.
In a press statement, Hamas affirmed its ongoing positive and responsible engagement in the negotiations, aiming to reach a deal that ensures a ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, and the unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid, in exchange for a mutual release of prisoners.
A new round of indirect talks is currently underway in Doha to discuss the details of a possible ceasefire agreement, nearly two years into the ongoing war.
