Settlers have established a new settlement outpost on the lands of the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

The Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of the Rights of Bedouins and Targeted Villages said that settlers set up several tents and shacks around the village and began preparing the area with equipment and materials necessary to solidify their presence, under the protection and facilitation of the occupation forces.

The organization added that the establishment of this outpost comes as part of a systematic policy to impose more facts on the ground by expanding settlements and linking random outposts to one another, at the expense of the Palestinian presence in Masafer Yatta, whose residents face the threat of forced displacement.
