The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported 6 new deaths in the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition, caused by the Israeli blockade and the continued prevention of food and medicine from entering the Strip.

The Ministry announced that the total number of deaths from malnutrition has risen to 399 martyrs, including 140 children. It added that since the IPC’s declaration of famine in Gaza, 121 deaths have been recorded, among them 25 children.

Meanwhile, UNICEF spokesperson Tess Ingram warned of the worsening risk of famine in Gaza City and its possible spread to the central Strip within weeks if no urgent action is taken. She stressed that families are no longer able to provide food for their children, describing the situation in Gaza as “catastrophic.”
