The International Committee to Break the Siege on Gaza announced the departure of the first ship of the Global Fleet of Steadfastness from the port of Bizerte in northern Tunisia, heading toward the Gaza Strip.

The “Global Fleet of Steadfastness” currently includes around 50 ships gathered in Tunisian ports, among them a Maghreb convoy consisting of 23 vessels, in addition to 22 foreign ships carrying participants from several countries in Europe and Latin America, as well as from the United States, Pakistan, India, and Malaysia.

Last Sunday, ships arriving from Spain and Italy as part of the “Fleet of Steadfastness” began reaching the Tunisian coast, in preparation for sailing to Gaza to break the Israeli blockade and open a humanitarian corridor to deliver aid to relieve the starving Palestinians.
