The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that Gaza is sliding deeper into catastrophe, with thousands being forced to flee every day.

The office added in press statements: “People are being ordered to leave Gaza City, but most cannot, and they must be protected.”

Earlier, the office said that the announced Israeli plan to fully occupy Gaza City will have a devastating humanitarian impact on Palestinians who are already deprived of life’s essentials. It also noted that 86% of the Strip’s area is under evacuation orders or cut off within Israeli military-controlled zones.
