An investigation published by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz revealed that an occupation army sniper killed dozens of Palestinians seeking aid every day, without facing any danger.

The sniper said: “At the aid distribution centers in Gaza, it feels like a cat-and-mouse game. I carry a sniper rifle and fire between 50 and 60 bullets daily. Sometimes I hesitated to shoot Palestinians near the aid centers, but the battalion commanders would yell at me to open fire.”

He noted that he eventually stopped counting how many people he killed each day at the aid centers, admitting that many of them were children. This caused him severe psychological trauma, leading him to request discharge from service. He said he smells the stench of children’s corpses, suffers from insomnia, and wets himself out of fear.

The investigation further revealed that in May, other soldiers killed two children with hundreds of bullets inside a house in northern Gaza. In another case, a woman and her two children were killed in central Gaza after entering an area designated as off-limits.
