Spain has canceled major arms contracts with companies linked to the Israeli occupation, including a deal worth €700 million to purchase 12 High Mobility Rocket Launcher Systems, and another contract worth €287.5 million to acquire 168 anti-tank launchers, as part of a government decision officially banning military deals with Tel Aviv.

The Spanish government also announced that it has barred Israeli “National Security Minister” Itamar Ben Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, both leaders of the far-right, from entering its territory.

Earlier, the Spanish government declared its decision to close Spanish ports and airspace to Israeli planes and ships transporting defensive systems or ammunition to the occupation army, as part of escalating punitive measures in response to the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.
