The spokesperson for the European Commission stated that around 600,000 Palestinians are suffering from famine in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israel’s continued blockade of humanitarian aid.

Yesterday, the European Commission proposed unprecedented measures against the Israeli government, with its President Ursula von der Leyen declaring: “The horrific events taking place daily in Gaza must stop.”

She added: “There must be an immediate ceasefire, unrestricted access for all humanitarian aid, and the release of all Israeli captives in Gaza.”
