The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said that the Israeli occupation army has intensified its use of booby-trapped (armored) vehicles loaded with tons of explosives to demolish central residential neighborhoods in Gaza City, as part of its declared goal of destroying the city and displacing its residents.
The Monitor documented that the occupation army detonated 10 booby-trapped armored vehicles (robots) at dawn today among residential homes. It noted that the army previously directed and detonated these vehicles specifically at dawn, but in recent days it has begun deploying them around the clock. The report stressed that the catastrophic impact of these booby-trapped vehicles goes beyond material destruction, extending to a systematic use of psychological terror against civilians, coercively pushing them to flee.
It further explained that each booby-trapped vehicle is capable of destroying around 20 housing units, either completely or severely, which means—in the short term—the loss of homes and shelters for hundreds of thousands of people, forcing them once again into displacement under deadly conditions and without the minimum means of survival.
