The Israeli channel i24 reported that “despite the diplomatic efforts led by Washington and the meeting held in London between Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, there has been no real progress in the negotiations on the ground.”

The channel added that the aim of these contacts is to build a framework agreement aligned with the principles set by Israel to end the war, foremost among them the return of all Israeli captives. It stressed that these demands, along with Qatar’s rejection of the assassination attempts targeting senior Hamas leaders, are preventing progress in the talks.
