The Fleet of Steadfastness, aimed at breaking the blockade on the Gaza Strip, is approaching the boundary between international waters and Greek territorial waters near the island of Crete.
According to Al Jazeera, Greek boats and ships are expected to join the fleet near Crete before it continues sailing collectively toward Palestinian territorial waters, where it is expected to arrive in Gaza within 6 days.
It added that unidentified reconnaissance drones reappeared over the ships for the third consecutive night, which the fleet’s management considered an ongoing attempt to criminalize and undermine its humanitarian mission.
For 23 days, dozens of ships and boats carrying activists from about 50 countries have been sailing, marking the first time such a large number of vessels have collectively set sail toward the besieged Gaza Strip.
