Nasser Al-Hidmi, head of the Jerusalem Committee Against Judaization, said that the Jewish holidays represent a golden opportunity for the Israeli occupation to impose further Judaization measures on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He explained that the occupation exploits the difficult circumstances Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are going through in order to push large numbers of settlers to storm Al-Aqsa. This, he warned, signals a frightening future for the mosque, reflecting the occupation’s insistence on controlling it and enforcing temporal and spatial division.
The holiday season began yesterday with what is called the Hebrew “New Year” (Rosh Hashanah) and concludes with “Simchat Torah,” on November 14, marking the end of these holidays. For decades, this season has represented the peak of the annual aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque.
