The Government Media Office in Gaza confirmed the worsening plight of hundreds of thousands of displaced people due to the policy of forced displacement that the Israeli occupation continues to impose on civilians, leading to an unprecedented collapse of the humanitarian situation in the Strip.
The Media Office explained that the central and southern governorates, particularly the Al-Mawasi area, are completely overcrowded and can no longer accommodate more displaced people. It also pointed to the sharp rise in transportation costs and the lack of new tents as the occupation continues to prevent their entry through the crossings.
It further noted that Israeli attacks on displaced people continue during their movement toward the south, with hospitals in the area receiving hundreds of casualties as a result of these assaults, in clear violation of international humanitarian law.
