U.S. President Donald Trump has presented a 21-point plan to Arab and Islamic leaders aimed at ending the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, now in its second year.
U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff said during the “Concordia 25” conference in New York: “The plan proposed by Trump includes 21 points. We are optimistic, even confident, that we will announce some achievement in the coming days,” without disclosing details.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported that this is the first time Trump has put forward an American plan to end the war in Gaza. The plan includes: the release of all remaining Israeli captives, a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, a gradual withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Strip, the establishment of a post-war administration excluding Hamas, a security force composed of Palestinians and troops from Arab and Islamic countries, as well as Arab and Islamic funding for Gaza’s reconstruction and governance, with partial participation from the Palestinian Authority in its administration.
