The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip said that the Israeli occupation army continues to block its teams from reaching several areas in Gaza City, despite receiving distress calls from residents, including the wounded, asking to be rescued.
In a press statement, it said: “For the second week in a row, the Israeli occupation army has rejected coordination requests sent by the Civil Defense’s humanitarian relief department through international institutions in the Gaza Strip, to allow rescue teams into areas where residents, including the injured, live, after we received distress calls from them for help.”
The Civil Defense confirmed that a number of the wounded trapped in these areas have died, while some of their relatives managed to carry them out of their homes and transfer them to hospitals under extremely dangerous conditions.
