The "Global Sumud Flotilla" is nearing the Gaza coastline to break the blockade on the Strip. Spanish activist Alejandra Martínez, participating in the fleet, said that morale is high among everyone and that there is a strong determination to achieve the humanitarian goal; opening a humanitarian corridor for Palestinians in Gaza and breaking the blockade imposed by Israel on the Strip for over 18 years.
She added that the fleet, sailing in the Mediterranean Sea, was attacked on the night of September 23 by Israeli drones, emphasizing that the aim of these attacks is to instill fear among the fleet’s participants and launch a psychological campaign to force them to return without completing their mission.
On Sunday morning, the "Resilience Fleet" announced via its Facebook page that it was only about 825 kilometers away from Gaza, while two drones hovered over its ships as a threat, without carrying out any attack.
