The American website Axios reported that Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey are simultaneously pressuring the leadership of Hamas to accept the proposal presented by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

According to sources familiar with the communications, officials from the three countries held two meetings with a delegation from Hamas leadership in the Qatari capital, Doha, over the past two days, conveying a clear message: adopting the U.S. initiative could be a pivotal step toward ending the war.

According to the source, the Hamas delegation responded that it would approach the proposal “with great responsibility” and would consult with various Palestinian factions to provide an official response as soon as possible.
