The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from famine and malnutrition has risen to 453 Palestinians, including 150 children, since the beginning of the severe blockade and the targeting of the food security system in the Strip.
The ministry explained in a statement that since the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) declared famine in the Gaza Strip, 175 new deaths due to hunger have been recorded, including 35 children, to date.
Since March 2, the occupation has closed the Gaza Strip's crossings to the entry of food, relief and medical aid, goods, and fuel, causing a significant deterioration in the humanitarian situation.
