The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor warned that the Israeli occupation is paving the way to impose a new demographic reality by emptying Gaza City of its residents.
Ramy Abdu, the head of the Monitor, said that the Israeli army’s control over the so-called “Netzarim Corridor” and “Al-Rasheed Street,” along with the prevention of return to Gaza City, represents a dangerous step toward fragmenting the territorial unity of the Strip by isolating the city and the northern areas, turning them into besieged zones.
Abdu noted that the occupation is working to displace the remaining residents of Gaza City by depriving them of food, medicine, and fuel, cutting off humanitarian supplies, and deepening its systematic starvation policy.
